As well as all of the other hidden delights amidst the cobbled streets of the Old Town, Dubrovnik, Sugar & Spice is a little gem – a cute little bakery selling cakes, muffins, other sweet treats and home made preserves.
One of their specialities is this: the chilli chocolate cake – dense, dark and crumbly, it tastes very similar to a chocolate brownie but with a slightly tingly after-taste in the mouth. I would have liked a little more of a chilli kick, but it was still a lovely little slice of chocolatey goodness. And the location can’t be beaten.
