Rave: The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum

The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum Review

I’m a new fan of The Body Shop’s Vitamin E range. I already religiously use their Vitamin E toner because I find it so refreshing (and the fact that it’s alcohol-free doesn’t hurt either, literally), but in the past I’d always forked out for Olay serums.

Once I realised that the Olay one I was partial to contained several different silicones, and was therefore not doing great things for my combination skin type, I needed to look around for a replacement.

I tried testers of both the Vitamin E serum and the Aloe Vera serum (which seems to have disappeared from their online store?) from The Body Shop before I purchased, as I wanted know which would give me hydration all over (and the aloe vera one had great reviews for my skin type). The Vitamin E formulation seemed to be thinner, which worried me at first, but I quickly realised that only one small pump gave good coverage, was light and moisturising without being greasy or sticky.

The serum is very lightly fragranced, but not enough to irritate my sensitive skin and I really like that honey is one of the top ingredients. After a stringent toner, it is light and refreshing and manages to calm my skin back down, while still keeping it moisturised and not shiny.

At only £12, this serum was a better price than the previous Olay one I’d been using, and I suspect that it may last me longer as well, despite using it twice a day. It’s perfect for all skin types, and it easily layers with other moisturisers and SPFs without leaving your face feeling like it’s been plastered with product.
