Summer has officially arrived here in Amsterdam. With weather that is all too similar to my home country of the UK, I understand just how precious warm, sunny days are. And what’s even better is that here in the ‘Dam we get ridiculously long days, with the sun not setting until around 10.30pm. It’s a time to pack a picnic, shake up some cocktails and really make the most of the city.
Because of the summer vibe in the air, it’s very cool to see the new campaign that Malibu Rum have created which aims to help people make the most of this summer and make it the best one ever. How? By saying “yes!” to as many fun things as you possibly can and creating fun memories and experiences that you’ll remember forever.
They want to encourage people to create a list of their individual top 5 “must do” things this summer, whether that’s turning up at the airport and booking a plane ticket to a random destination, or throwing a rooftop party with friends. Whatever’s on your “must do” list, the main focus should be fun. They give you some handy examples of things you can add to your list on their YouTube channel.
Once you’ve got your “must do” list together, you can share the love and the inspiration with friends on social media using the hashtag #bestsummerever and maybe even create some photos or videos of your own.
I love the video for this campaign, because it’s basically a collection of every cool Instagram photo you can think of, set to a funky music background, that makes you just want to grab a cocktail and a pair of sunglasses and go out and enjoy the summer.
